Rough Justice by Suzanne Perazzini

Did you design the cover?

Yes, I designed the cover. I actually designed 5 different covers for this book. I submitted them to Red Rose Publishing, who let me know which they preferred and I agreed with them.

Is there an interesting story behind the cover design? If so, please share the details.

I took the photo of the elephants myself when I was on holiday in Botswana. My husband, son and I spent a wonderful month in South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia, where my uncle has a fishing lodge on the Zambezi River.

Are you happy with the cover?

I am very happy with the cover of course since I designed it myself. LOL.

Tell us what you think is the best part of the cover?

I love the hazy feel to the elephants which I have superimposed onto a photo of the Chobe River at sunset, which I took on the same day that I took the photo of the elephants.

Is there anything else about the cover that we need to know?

I loved Africa so much that I felt impelled to write a story based there and in particular to use the sad and misguided poaching of elephants as the backdrop to the adventure my heroine goes on.
